CompTIA Support Home-Study Career Computer Training Courses - Insights
CompTIA A + has a total of two exams and areas of study, and your requirement is to get your exams in each area to qualify for your A+. Once on the A+ training program you will learn how to build computers and fix them, and work in antistatic conditions. You'll also cover fault finding and diagnostics, through both hands-on and remote access. You might also choose to think about adding Network+ training to your A+ as you'll then be in a position to become a networking engineer, and become a more senior IT professional.
A major candidate for the biggest single let-down for IT students is often the 'in-centre' workshop requirement. A lot of training academies harp on about the positive points of taking part in these events, usually though, they end up as a burden to be carried because of:
* Lots of centre visits - sometimes 100's of miles or more.
* Asking for time off work - most companies can only give Mon-Fri class availability and often group days together in a clump. To be honest, this doesn't suit working people, even more so when travel time is included.
* Annual leave lost - a lot of workers only get 4 weeks annual leave. If you use up half of that with training events, vacation time is going to be quite short for most student's families.
* Workshop days can 'sell out' fast and can be very crammed in.
* The pace of the workshop - centre-days can have trainees of varying aptitude, so tension can be created between the quicker-learners and those who want to go a little slower.
* Calculate the increasing cost of all the travel, fares, accommodation, food and parking and you could find yourself astounded. Trainees mention extra costs mounting to several hundred and sometimes thousands of pounds. Work it out - and you'll see how.
* The majority of trainees want their training to remain private and therefore avoiding all come-back from their current employer.
* Every one of us must, at some time, have avoided putting our hand's up, because we wanted to fit in?
* Living away for part of your working week - some trainees need to live or work away for sections of the program. Classes become impossible at that point, unfortunately you've already paid for them with your initial fees.
It really does make much more sense to study at your convenience - not your training provider's - and make use of interactive videos of instructors teaching a class. Imagine... Using a laptop you have the ability to study in any location you choose. And live 24 hr-a-day support is an online click away in case of difficulty. There's no need to take notes - every lesson is laid out for you already. If you want to re-do anything, it's right there. Could it be more straightforward: No travelling, wasted time or money; and of course you have a far more peaceful study atmosphere.
