The Hottest Trends in Video Gaming
Sunday, November 8th, 2009With the three major game console brands available today, sometimes it really is disappointing when a new game comes out for one system, but is not available for the other game systems. It is really disappointing when you wait in anticipation for a new game to come out, only to find that it doesn’t go with your gaming platform. With some game systems, you are going to expect some games aren’t going to be compatible, like many Wii games. There is a wide range of Wii products out there, but because of their sensor hand controllers, you know that won’t work, and can’t be adaptable for X-Box 360 and PS3.
On the other hand, both Sony and X-Box compete with each other so much on so many things, they shouldn’t compete over games as well. If a game comes out for these kinds of gaming platforms, they should be available for both. You obviously can’t expect all aspects of the game to be the same, like controllers and certain features, but overall game play, plot lines, and game interaction should be the same.
With that in mind, one of the hottest games out has to be X-Men Origins, for both PS3 and X-Box 360, and Wii, and is going to retail around $60. Guitar Hero is an ever-popular genre picked up by all, and the new Beatles addition is sure to wow rock star wanna-bes in every household. Hardcore driving enthusiasts will be sure to enjoy Need For Speed Shift.
Before running to your local store to buy a new video game, it’s best to rent the ones you think you may be interested in. You can test drive it, to make sure you like it before spending over fifty dollars for a new game. While testing the games you rent, take notice to see how long it takes you to go through the levels. Check out the difficult level of the game. If you blaze through it, then it’s not worth spending the money on it if you are going to get through the entire game in a short period of time.
Otherwise, if you can’t master the controller’s basics after a rental period, it’s going to be tough when you buy it. Some may find this a good challenge, but other players get frustrated more easily. This also gives you a chance to get a feel for a game before you buy it, and not for just a few minutes at the game store. There are some games you know before buying if you are going to like it. If you like first person shooter games, you know you’re not going to want sports game. But how do you know if you are going to like Halo if you’ve never played it before? Is it going to be similar with a war epic like Men of Honor? You get the idea.
There are several website, and many retailers that will be happy to help you with your purchases. Top of the line games are often priced between $50.00 and $60.00. You may be surprised if you find the games online cheaper than that.[youtube:JQtta_9z0fs;[link:How To Download Xbox360 Games];http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQtta_9z0fs&feature=related]
